A little bit about me and how I got to this point.
I have been playing golf since I was 8 years old and have played competitive golf since about 14 years old. I played for my high school team as well as Oregon State University.
After college, the plan was to turn professional. But sometimes, life has other plans. So, after 7 years of exploring what the real world has to offer, I moved back home to Oregon and started in the golf industry in 1988. I worked for a couple different companies where I managed retail golf stores as well as owned a golf and marketing business prior to turning professional in 2012.
I started repairing golf clubs as a kid. I had a bad temper and my father would no longer pay to have my clubs fixed. So, I learned how to do it myself and have been doing it ever since. I started my first club repair business in 1991 while managing two retail golf shops in Portland. The stores did not have the space for the service and we had been paying another company to do the work for us. I started doing it on my own time, taking clubs home at night and bringing them back in the morning. Fitting golfers came soon after and I have loved every minute of it since.
My wife and I have been married over 30 years and have 3 beautiful daughters, 3 sons-in-law and our current dog is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (Obi-wan Kenobi).
